PROJECTS: innovation and competitiveness for the benefit of Health
The dynamism of a multidisciplinary team
The goal of the Engineering & Health platform is to become a key player in the industry and the health and social sectors by offering its expertise for the realization of mandates or for technology transfer.
From their elaboration to their concretization, through the publication of results and their valorization, the R&D projects resulting from the Engineering & Health platform are led by its members. They rely on the network of skills made available by the two universities.
Joint events are organised periodically to present the achievements and broaden the circle of collaborations.
Oriented towards applied research, the majority of projects take shape in the field and are embodied in a functional and deployable prototype with minimal effort in terms of technology transfer. This transfer can take place in particular thanks to the support of financing institutions such as Innosuisse or through more occasional aid such as cantonal credits.
An R&D project can also lead to the creation of a start-up for the exploitation and commercialisation of the results. In this case, the platform can, through the Y-PARC incubator in Yverdon, offer interesting services to young entrepreneurs wishing to develop their ideas.
