SUBSTITUTIONS

SUBSTITUTIONS is a distributed database management system that manages information about the drug substitution delivery for heroin addicts in the canton of Vaud. The project is a mandate delivered by the Public Health Service (SSP).

The software system allows for optimizing the management of drug substitution delivery and provides useful tools in the domain of epidemiologic research. Thanks to a sophisticated data acquisition, classification and valorisation system, the researchers of the universitary institute for preventive and social medicine are able to get a better understanding of the evolution of the patients thet undergo such a treatment.
